Ideation
The theme of this sock line was matcha. I chose this theme because there is so much history that goes into the cultivation and making of matcha that a lot of people don’t know about.
I wanted to create something that looked fun, simple, and unique on the outside but actually had a deep story to tell if you pay close enough attention. I also really wanted to work with the fun green color scheme that matcha has and show a little taste (no pun intended) of how matcha is grown and why it’s so different from other types of tea + coffee. It’s truly so interesting and rich in taste as well as history.
